Simon Birch has over 20 years of experience in investment and capital structuring, with a track record of securing funding for large-scale projects. As Managing Director of Sandridge Securities since 2021, he has built strong relationships with investors, private financiers, and developers, delivering financial solutions that drive long-term success. His ability to cut through complexity and find practical solutions has made him a trusted partner for clients, many of whom return for multiple projects.
In January 2025, Simon also took on the role of Managing Director at Deep Green Capital, focusing on new investment opportunities for European and North American investors with appetite for large Australian projects. He continues to lead Sandridge Securities while leveraging his expertise in global capital markets to connect investors with high-value opportunities. His direct approach, sharp problem-solving skills, and ability to structure complex transactions make him a key player in the investment space.

Ces Iewago is a nationally respected figure in Papua New Guinea and a recognised authority in financial, regulatory, and corporate affairs across the Asia-Pacific region. As Executive Vice Chairman of the PanEuro Group, he leads Global Origination and Strategic Partnerships, drawing on over three decades of leadership in banking, financial services, securities, superannuation, and the mineral and energy sectors.
Until July 2025, Ces was Managing Partner of KPMG Papua New Guinea, where he oversaw the firm’s strategic positioning and client advisory functions at the highest level. He has held executive and board positions across listed and unlisted entities in Australia, Canada, and Papua New Guinea, including as Chairman and Non-Executive Director. He is widely regarded for his integrity, authority in governance, and commitment to long-term nation-building.
Ces has played a defining role in several of Papua New Guinea’s most significant economic reforms and institutional developments. These include the country’s first sovereign credit rating, the deregulation of the superannuation sector, the privatisation of PNGBC (now BSP Financial Group), the establishment of the Port Moresby Stock Exchange (now PNGX), and the formation of the PNG Gaming Board, where he served as a founding Director. His advisory experience spans IPOs, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, statutory and compliance audits, internal audit and risk management, and technical accounting including IFRS implementation. He is also deeply experienced in forensic investigations, extractive industry reporting, and business improvement strategies aimed at performance optimisation.
His in-country representation of international firms is recognised as exemplary, with an unblemished track record of leadership, policy engagement, and commercial diplomacy. Currently on the Board of AmCham Coral Sea in PNG. he is a committed advocate for environmental, social and governance (ESG) principles, and is dedicated to enabling structural reforms that deliver intergenerational benefit for the people of Papua New Guinea.
Ces holds a Bachelor of Arts in Commerce from the University of Papua New Guinea and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (FAICD). He has also served as President of the Port Moresby Chamber of Commerce & Industry and as a Trustee of the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea.
